Kitchen and Domestic Manager

 

We are looking to recruit Kitchen & Domestic Manager to join our team to manage the smooth running of the Kitchen and Domestic department to ensure the delivery of a safe, healthy and high-quality catering service at the school. This will include aspects of food preparation, food service, kitchen, and dining area hygiene, and any other duties associated with food service operations. You will be responsible for food production for approximately 50 children and 35 staff on a daily basis, this includes breakfast, break, and lunch. You will be expected to run our food management system and comply with the principles of Healthy Schools, COSHH, and Health and Safety in Food. Knowledge of the Good School Food Guide will be an advantage. Your department will have approximately 4 kitchen assistants to assist with food production and 5 domestic staff who are responsible for cleaning the site. The successful applicant will be someone who can motivate the team, develop the menu, and rise to the challenge.

​Working 37.5 hours per week, 7:00am to 3:00pm per day, Monday to Friday, term time. Holiday hours will remain the same during non-term time contractually, however, we tend to work slightly shorter hours, with no reduction in wage, plus the successful individual will only work 1 week of the Easter school holiday period, 2 weeks of the summer holiday period, 3 days per week during each of the 3 half term holidays, and will be off for the full Christmas period.

Salary: £30,000 per annum.
