As part of our SMSC curriculum incorporating British Values we held a special assembly to commemorate Armistice Day on the 11th of 11th. As part of this students were invited to help produce a display in our main hall. Working with our Art dept the children made and painted poppies and the silhouette of a First World War soldier. At 11.00 am all students and staff held a minutes silence to remember the lives given so we could live our lives today. The Head of Care gave a short talk about Life in Trenches and the connection between the name of our school Talbot House and the First World War. The children all sat in silence and showed compassion and respect for the fallen.
