Primary Teacher - KS1 & KS2

Talbot House Children's Charity are continuing to expand and are looking to recruit a passionate and experienced Teacher for KS1 & KS2, to join our growing school.

To apply, applicants must hold QTS, with full Early Career Teacher (ECT) Status (formally NQT). The applicant must have excellent knowledge of the curriculum, classroom management skills and high expectations for all pupils to achieve their potential.

The suitable applicants must have experience of working with SEN pupils with complex needs, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, Trauma and attachment, some of pupils may have multiple needs.

 

We are a small non-maintained school with pupils ranging from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4. Class sizes are rarely bigger than 6 pupils.

Hours of work: 39 hours per week during term time (from time to time Teachers may be required to work outside of these hours, for example school staff might be required to attend school on GCSE results day). Working hours are: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, and Friday 8:00am to 3:00pm (we do offer alternative hours, Monday to Thursday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, and Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm, to help with childcare or other needs, you could also combine a later start Monday to Thursday, but chose the earlier start time on a Friday).

Salary: we will consider all salaries for this role, and will offer a salary equivalent to M1 up to M6.

 

We offer a part SEN allowance for this role (this will rise to the full minimum SEN rate from April 2025). Further details will be explained to those invited for an interview.

Start date: As soon as possible, pending your notice period requirements).
