Voluntary Roles: Trustees & Governors
Talbot House Children's Charity is seeking to find several Trustees and/or Governors to join our Charity on a voluntary basis.
This is a great opportunity to take up voluntary work, especially if your employer promotes paid charity work days. You could become part of a small
team who really do change children's lives. We would welcome applications for these important roles from enthusiastic and reliable individuals
who have a genuine interest in the welfare, care and development of children and young people with social, emotional or mental health considerations.
If you are a local resident or parent or business owner or if you have a background in Education, Charity, HR, Children’s Social Care, Children’s or Adolescents Therapy we would be especially interested to hear from you, however, we would welcome all applicants as we seek a diverse group of volunteers. To be a Trustee or a Governor you do not need prior experience but do need to share our passion about our services.
Full induction and ongoing training will be provided.
The Charity does require a level of commitment for the roles with an expectation to meet up to 4 evenings per year for full board meetings, and Governors are allocated to committees, which also meet 4 times a year. With a number of meetings now held online the commitment to travel has been reduced making these volunteer roles really flexible and suited to all individual situations.
To have an informal discussion with one of our Senior Team, contact us at 0191 2290111 or at hr@talbothousecc.org.uk
Close date: 30 April 2024.
