Exams and Qualifications

We believe that every child has the potential to achieve qualifications that best suits their ability. Therefore we offer a range of qualifications. We invest time in determining the best qualification for each child. We currently use AQA and Edexel exam boards for GCSEs, GCSEs, Entry Level 1, 2 and 3, Functional skills level 1, 2 and 3.

All our pupils work towards AQA unit awards. AQA unit awards offer learners the opportunity to have their achievements formally recognised with a certificate each time a short unit of learning is successfully completed.

 

August 2022 Exam results – 5 pupils in the cohort

Pupils in year 11 this year sat GCSE’s in English, Maths, Science, Art and Photography. One pupil achieve a multiple of AQA unit awards.

The over GCSE’s achieve was:

English language – 4 pupils ranging between grade 1 and 3

English spoken – 4 pupils passed

Maths – 4 pupils ranging between 1 and 3

Double science – 4 pupils ranging between 1,1 and 3, 2

Art – out of the 4 pupils who sat the GCSE all achieved a grade between 1 and 4

Photography – 2 pupils entered, and both achieved grades.

All pupils have opportunities to achieve AQA unit awards across the year.
